wHO WE ARE

Based in Vancouver, B.C., RoboPlanet is a non-profit K12 STEM education organization that has registered with B.C. government.

Aiming at building a global ROBO community, RoboPlanet delivers various Coding/Robotics/Mechanical learning programs to local children who are appealed to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, so that they could discover, experience, learn, and share their interests through this journey.

-Coached and led student teams participating in FIRST LEGO® League Jr. World EXPO for 2 consecutive
 seasons, and won the World Exploration Award

Vivian Liu

Operational Manager

– Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Human Resource Management, SimonFraser University

-Interned at the Financial Risk Management department of WorkSafeBC, a Canadian government agency, and the Risk Control department of Bank of China, with extensive practical work experience in administrative management, data analysis, customer communication operations, etc.

-Professional knowledge in LEGO construction, robotics competition planning, STEM education, etc.

-Passionate about education with five years of practical work experience in teaching and curriculum consulting in areas such as STEM education, mathematics, and Chinese language for K-12 students.

JOHNATHAN ZHAO

PYTHON&C++ INSTRUCTOR

-B.S. in Computer Science, Northeastern University

-Over 20 years of professional IT experience, during which time he has tutored a large number of learners of all ages

-Deep understanding and experience teaching a variety of programming languages, including but not limited to Scratch for 5 year olds, Python for teens, AP Java for high school students, and C++/C#/Golang for college students

Kevin Wang

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, The University of British Columbia

-Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including C++, and ability to develop innovative applets and software

-Extensive modeling experience to provide effective solutions to complex problems

Kevin Zhang

-Worked for Alipay, and was in charge of business development related to Alipay VR payment

-Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including JAVA, GIT, C++, and writing plug-ins

-Over 10 years of experience in IT with extensive computer and programming knowledge

-Extensive teaching experience, specializing in teaching programming and able to explain complex programming concepts in a clear and concise manner

Charles Hu

-Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems in Progress at Kwantlen Polytechnic University

-Participated in several professional robotics competitions and accumulated rich experience and skills in the competitions, which can help students get excellent results in the competitions

-Led teams to the Robotics World Championships as a coach and won places

Alfred Chow

-Worked on designing CAD models and prototypes and 3D printer maintenanced and upgraded

-4 years of professional experience as a robotics instructor and experience in STEAM related education for students ages 5-14 years old

-Passionate about robotics and familiar with multiple robotics platforms and programming languages, including Html, CSS, Javascript, C++, Python, C#

Yasi Lu

-Over 4 years teaching at Roboplanet, primarily teaching 5-12 year olds

Aaron Wang

-Bachelor’s degree in Information Management and Information System from Beijing Institute of Technology

-Five years of experience in software development, during which he has developed more than 100 smart terminal software, which has more than one million users

-Extensive experience teaching robotics and the ability to simplify complex robotics knowledge into a form that is easy for students to understand
